Orco Bank Proudly Supports SMMC’s Successful “Man-Up. Check Up.”

Orco Bank, through its Orco Cares Program, proudly supported the successful “Man-Up. Check Up.” men’s health screening held in partnership with St. Maarten Medical Center (SMMC) on Saturday, September 26, 2026.
The event brought the message of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month into action, encouraging men across Sint Maarten to take a proactive approach to their health by getting screened, staying informed and making their well-being a priority. Health screenings and prostate checkups (DRE) were made available during the event at St. Maarten Medical Center.
The screening formed part of the ongoing partnership between Orco Bank and SMMC to strengthen community health initiatives in Sint Maarten. Through Orco Cares, the Bank has committed its support to increasing awareness, improving access to screening and encouraging members of the community to take an active role in their health.
“Seeing members of our community take that important step and prioritize their health is exactly what we hoped this initiative would encourage,” said Judy King Richardson, Country Manager of Orco Bank Sint Maarten. “Man-Up. Check Up. was about more than one screening day. It was about starting conversations, creating awareness and reminding men that taking care of their health is an act of strength. We are proud to stand alongside SMMC and everyone who helped turn this message into action.”
The “Man-Up. Check Up.” campaign encouraged men to take a proactive approach to their health, reinforcing a simple but important message: prostate cancer doesn’t send a warning text — getting checked matters.
Orco Bank also recognized the healthcare professionals, SMMC team members and everyone who participated in the initiative and contributed to its success. Their involvement helped bring greater visibility to prostate cancer awareness and the importance of early screening within the Sint Maarten community.
The initiative was the first major health awareness activation under the partnership between Orco Bank and St. Maarten Medical Center. Announced in August, the collaboration began with Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in September and will continue with Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, followed by additional patient and community support initiatives through the end of 2026.
Through the Orco Cares Program, Orco Bank continues to invest in partnerships that make a meaningful difference in the communities it serves, with community health forming an important part of that commitment.
