Terms of Use
Orco Bank Mobile Text Banking (“Service”) is a service provided by Orco Bank N.V., “Orco Bank”. By participating in the Service you agree to the following Terms and Conditions, in addition to any Terms and Conditions you have previously agreed to with respect to banking services provided by Orco Bank of which the Service is part of. Orco Bank reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The terms “we”, “us” or “our” mean Orco Bank. The terms “you” or “your” means ‘the Text Banking customer” who uses this service.
Orco Bank offers its customers mobile access to their accounts to check their balance, their last transactions and set up alerts over Short Message Service (SMS) as well as e-mail.
In case of cancellation or change of plan, you can send the cancellation request via our electronic form, on our website www.orcobank.com or you can visit one of our branches to fill out a cancellation form. Orco Bank will send a message informing you that the Service has been cancelled.
In case your mobile phone is lost or stolen, you can mail us using OBO or visit one of our branches during office hours to fill in a modification form.
Orco Bank will not text any messages requesting you to send us any sensitive personal or financial information such as your password, PIN-code or your account number. If you ever receive such a request, do not respond to the message and call one of our branches during office hours to report the incident. Any and all information provided under the Service is additional and does not replace the information we provide to you in accordance with the Account Opening Agreement.
To enroll for these services you need a valid mobile telephone number registered with UTS Curaҫao and/or an e-mail address. You can register online or visit one of our branches. You may only enroll for text messages and alerts if you hold an account to which you are authorized or an account to which the authorization from any one of the account holders is required. You may not enroll for an account which requires the authorization from all or more than one account holder(s).
You are allowed to register more than one mobile telephone number and/or e-mail with us at any time. This mobile telephone number will be applied for all your accounts or as requested.
For the SMS-service, the information about your account will be sent to a mobile telephone number registered with UTS in Curaҫao. The Service is not available to a fixed line telephone or other mobile service providers other than UTS Curaҫao at this time.
The charge for each SMS message is ANG 0.26 cents per SMS message. During the introduction phase of this product, the SMS message will be free of charge. Orco Bank reserves the right to charge per SMS message. In such case, Orco Bank will inform you one month in advance that we will start charging thru an SMS message or e-mail. Your primary account will be charged on a monthly basis at the end of the month.
Orco Bank reserves the right to send from time to time other operational messages about your account to your registered mobile telephone number and/or e-mail.
Text messages or text alerts may be delayed or impacted by factor(s) pertaining to your communication service provider or other parties.
Due to repairs, maintenance or updates of our systems, text messages or alerts may not be available from time-to-time. Orco Bank is not liable if text messages or text alerts are not available due to reasons beyond our control or if you do not receive the text messages or text alerts due to reasons within your control such as switching your mobile telephone off, no network coverage or changing your telephone number.
The Service is not encrypted and may include personal or confidential information about you, such as your account activity or status. You are responsible to protect your communications device that receives information through the Service and not to let any unauthorized person have access to the information we provide to you through this service. If your mobile telephone is lost or stolen, or if you change your telephone number or communication service provider, it is your responsibility to request a suspension (change) of your text messages or text alerts as soon as possible. Otherwise Orco Bank will continue providing text messages and text alerts to the mobile telephone which we have registered.
